Exclusive: Trump Tells Me Wuhan Lab Leak Not a Matter of If, Only Whether 'On Purpose'
Plus some big news, and clips from the week that was
A lot has happened over the last week.
First, I sat down with former President Donald Trump for a wide-ranging interview. One tidbit comes in the form of the following piece out this morning at The Federalist:
Exclusive: Vindicated Trump Says Only Lab Leak Question Is If It Was ‘On Purpose’
There will be much more to report from the interview, some of which I will divulge later in the book I’m working on on U.S.-China policy under the auspices of TFAS’ Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship program.
Second, on a professional note, I was honored to have been named Deputy Editor at RealClearInvestigations. I’ve long been an avid consumer of RCI’s in-depth, heterodox, and often contrarian journalism, all of which is invaluable particularly given the current state of the media. You can read about RCI’s mission here—a mission that I look forward to serving.
Third, I am thrilled to announce that next week I will be guest-hosting Buck Sexton’s three-hour radio program from Monday 6/14 - Thursday 6/17. The show airs from 6-9PM ET, and can be streamed at iHeart, and downloaded at Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Buck had me on his show on The First last night to talk about the latest Rep. Ilhan Omar controversy, which you can watch below:

Fourth, I had a number of other media hits over the last week, including this critique of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s most recent performance, and much to say on the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, and its lessons for today:

I spoke with Seth Leibsohn on his eponymous radio show about Tiananmen as well: https://omny.fm/shows/sethleibsohnshow/june-7-2021-benjamin-weingarten
Last but not least, on this week’s episode of The NatCon Squad, we talked:
America’s potential waning trust in “experts”
Twitter’s suspension of a conservative Big Tech watchdog
The Senate’s half-hearted offensive against China
The triggering of a NYT editorial board member over American flags on Long Island
